How can I upload my Sales Tax Certificate?

To upload your Sales Tax Certificate, just follow these three easy steps:

  1. Log in to your account at https://www.liveauctioneers.com
  2. From Account Settings, click on ‘Tax Exemption
  3. Under ‘Add New Certificate’, select your state and upload your resale certificate or sales tax permit details

Note: the sales tax certificate cannot be uploaded from the app

Once approved, your uploaded certificate will be marked as 'Approved' under the 'Tax Exemption' tab, and your tax exemption status will be applied to all applicable invoices issued through LiveAuctioneers. Please note that providing documentation does not guarantee your tax exemption status on LiveAuctioneers. Our team may request additional information from you in order to complete the verification process.

What type of tax exemption documentation is acceptable?

In order to be tax-exempt, you must provide a valid certificate for the state where the item will be shipped. 

Many states have their own certificates that are available online. Certain states permit the use of multi-jurisdiction tax exemption forms like a Streamlined Sales Tax Certificate of Exemption form from the Streamlined Sales Tax Governing Board or a Uniform Sales & Use Tax Exemption/Resale Certificate from the Multistate Tax Commission.
